IPOs don't collect money
Analysts estimated that total funds raised in initial public offerings in the U.S. and Europe
dropped 90% from 2021.
In more detail, last year, from January to May on U.S. and European exchanges, 628 companies raised $192 billion. And this year, over the same five months, 157 companies raised only $17.9 billion.
In addition to the geopolitical situation and inflation,
analysts say that this was also affected by the almost complete cessation of the SPAC listing.
