ATTENTION Although people are aware of the coming war/storm on American soil, the outcome for you and your families will be dictated by having been prepared for the worst case scenario. When the shit finally hits the fan in this country, you need to be prepared. Stock up on canned goods, water, batteries, gasoline, ammunition and toilet paper. Many other things will also be needed like string/twine, duct tape, fishing equipment, knives and eating utensils, flash lights, a steel grate for cooking, a few pots/pans. Act like you and your family will be camping for a few months. Sit down with your family and create a plan for if communications go out.. what to do, where to meet. If comms go down, can't call for help (police/fire, etc) so your homes will become the Alamo for your families. Fill your tanks once you get to 1/2 tank.. don't wait till it's too late. Get several gas jugs or if you can afford it, get a very large container to store gas (you will need it). If you can get a generator, do it. Act like a major cat 5 hurricane is coming towards your state. In my life, Make connections with neighbors about this as well. Get as many as you can onboard with planning for outages. Think bartering with people for goods. If everything goes down, cash will have no value other than to use as kindling and wiping your butt. Tobacco, ammo, water and canned goods will be in high demand. Seeds for planting and grains to bake with. Soaps, sanitizing wipes, and the like will be very handy. If you have small children, make sure to get as much as you can for them. Stock up on pain management meds, band aids, etc. Strongly suggest buying or printing out maps of your state and the surrounding states (gps will be of no help).
