2021-11-16 19:30:47 ICAI President Offers Clarification on Remarks on Hindi in CA :

For his remarks on pushing Hindi language among CAs, the President has offered a clarification.

The President has conveyed that his remarks were taken out of context and misinterpreted.

A controversy was sparked when the president has made the following remarks in early October:

"Realizing the power of our mother tongue Hindi, ICAI is trying to incorporate more use of Hindi into its work culture."

"Hindi, as Rajbasha (Official Language) shall be promoted at all levels".

However, considering 71% of CA Students and Members hail from non-hindi states, the above remarks were condemned.
