There is a term in prison that I think is revelant to the recent misfortunes some activists have faced. That's is "crab bucket syndrome " the term refers to when you put a bunch of crabs in a bucket ,and one crab almost climbs out of the bucket the other crabs will pull it back down and no crab makes it to the top. In prison you would see this when someone would maybe get a lot of visits from loved ones or was a few days away from getting out, other inmates bitter at their own situations or lack of would look to find ways to sabotage or discredit his fellow white inmate and bring him down. In the movement this is the same when one group finds themselves under heavy pressure because of their success, others that are not their yet will side with antifa in gloating or trying to put down their fellow activists. If you find yourself sharing sentiment with antifa and law enforcement taking joy in seeing fellow activists go through a hard time you are probably suffering from crab bucket syndrome and need to get that shit in check.
