McDonald’s vs Single-Use Plastic
In the fourth quarter of 19, the fast food pioneer started an environmental campaign about single-use plastics in its eateries. Various measures have been presented in Europe to reduce single-use plastic, with the plan for France to lessen its plastic consumption by 1,200 metric tons.
McDonalds changed their slogan to "Better M" which refers to a better McDonald's whose obligation is to battle plastic waste in its European eateries. After a preliminary test, McDonald’s resorted to eliminate plastic drink covers, packaging and obviously the main foe of plastic, straws.
