T5 will be built as a green and sustainable terminal, and it will leverage technology to enhance passenger experience and productivity. T5 will secure the capacity for Singapore to ride on the long-term growth of aviation and strengthen Changi Airport's position as a premier air hub. Construction will commence in about two years, for the terminal to be ready around the mid-2030s.
