I kept this one under my hat a bit, but it's finally available for everyone to watch! Last week I was interviewed by Jimuphy from PlannediLlusion, and he has just uploaded it! I also jumped on a subscriber-only chat with him, Joel and Pat from the Awaken the Future podcast (based in Boston, USA). Shout out to teacher friends!! Possible strategies for teachers (to avoid giving in)..if you or anyone you know is still “hesitant”-please share with them

1. As the orders don't come in until November 8, a teacher can work as normal until that time.

2. From November 8, there is only around 4-5 weeks until year end. The employee will still get holidays paid for on a pro-rata basis (as they have worked a large proportion of the year).

3. Effectively, they could wait it out until around late January 2022.

4. They would only lose around 5 weeks pay over than 3 month period. By then, it is possible that if there is mass shortages in teaching, schools will already been feeling the pain, and the government may have to reverse their decision.

5. If 5000 teachers left the profession, various Principals would be feeling the pain in the lead up to the 2022 year. And that's where the pressure would build up even more on the government and DET.

I know its not a silver bullet, but putting it in context, the timeframe this is happening actually means that the teachers have the power to create havoc on the industry in the lead up to 2022. Open / Comment

I will attach the templates Sally sent through also- some are rather wordy but hopefully they give you an understanding of which situations are applicable to which constitutional laws.

"Hi everyone


A huge thank you to all who came to our meeting yesterday.  There was certainly a lot of information shared by Sally, but I trust that those who attended are feeling more supported and empowered.  The bottom line is that, as she said, all that is going on is ILLEGAL, and we have laws we can stand on that we need to have the courage to use.  The main one is the Privacy Act, and so for those who weren’t there, we need to know this : we are not to reveal our vaccination status when asked (eg. by bosses etc, when told we need to have this to keep our jobs)  There will be documentation at borders etc we may be asked to complete, but we must not complete as it contravenes the Privacy Act to be asked about our private medical information.  Simple as that.  

 

Sally has attached the various documents and templates below, to help us.  We need to stand strong and NOT RESIGN. This is coming for us all, some sooner than other, but this information is vitally important, and we need to share it, as she says “He who fails to assert his rights, has none.”  Memorize this quote, it will be important to share it with everyone we know.  We have to push back on all that is going on, as what is coming otherwise, will be slavery.  If ever there was a time to wake up and stand up, it is now.  This is our Esther moment, our “For such a time as this…”  I believe.  The freedoms our ancestors fought and died for are being destroyed and so many are oblivious to it, however, as I talk to people wherever I go about all this, many people will agree they have doubts, when you bring it up, and we need to be planting those seeds. " Open / Comment
