Manganese (VII) oxide is a very unstable compound at room temperature; a strong oxidizing agent, in contact with combustible substances, ignites them, possibly with an explosion. Highly toxic, strongest oxidizing agent. Decaying gives reaction products: manganese dioxide, oxygen and ozone.
