A joint statement from the Government of Ethiopia and the TPLF has been released on today's peace agreement:

The TPLF commits to disarming and demobilizing the TDF. They will also reintegrate back into the ENDF, who are recognized as the only military force in Ethiopia.

The agreement states that all services will be restored, that the government will work to rebuild infrastructure, and that there will be unimpeded access for aid organizations.

There is currently no provision for the dissolution of the TPLF as a political party. But there will be a transitional framework to ensure that federal control is reestablished. This will also focus on reconciliation, accountability, and healing.
