Altai: Megaliths of Mount Sinyukha Mount Sinyukha is located in the Smolensk region 20 kilometers from Belokurikha. There are many mountains with such a name in Altai. Their height is 1379 meters. This place is very beautiful and untouched by human activities.
From the northern slopes of Sinyukha starts the Belokurikha river that runs down a narrow valley that turns into a mountain gorge and turns into the Ob plains. Most of the mountain is occupied by mixed and pine forests, and the top is a scattering of huge rocks.
The locals also call the mountain "Sinyukha," or "Sumnaya. They associate this name with an interesting story.
