Every now and then, people DM me, really upset over hate comments, and asking me how I handle it, especially when it comes from people I otherwise agree with but hate me for whatever reason.

My advice is always the same: look up someone you love or admire, and see the absolute trash and filth people are making up about them to attack them. If they can attack them with ridiculous garbage and conspiracy theories too, and you know in your heart it's not true, then you'll realize it's just the internet. And you’re in good company. It just means you’ve stood up for something.
