The Moldovan parliament banned the St. George ribbon.
The symbols "Z" and "V" were also banned.
Their demonstration will be punished with a fine or community service.
Parliamentarians from the bloc of Communists and Socialists in response to the ban blocked the podium with posters "Victory Day is Holy" and "Do not touch the symbol of Victory."
Dodon few days earlier called on citizens to go to the Victory March on May 9 with St. George ribbons.
The ex-president said that the authorities will not be able to punish tens of thousands of people.
"
Don't play with people's memories, people won't forgive you for that. You have something to do, a lot of problems – do it," he appealed to the President and Prime Minister of Moldova.
