Read Joel 2. The description of a mighty people arranged for b | JamesCharles for Truth

Read Joel 2. The description of a mighty people arranged for battle (2:5); they are consistent and orderly, know where they are going, pervasive, led by God's word. Verses 7, 8 are important because the warriors...run like mighty men; they climb the wall like soldiers; and they each march in line, nor do they deviate from their paths. They do not crowd (jostle) each other...

Oh that God's warriors understood HOW to follow Him! Verse 11: And the Lord utters His voice before His army; surely His camp is very great, for strong is He who carries out His word...

You have spoken wisdom about how frivolously some (many) use the term discernment! IF they learn to discern God's voice, they will operate together with no need to discern other warriors.

Discernment is necessary between good and evil. Yes, there are those who try to infiltrate our camp, but their behavior will stand out simply because they do not fight according to Joel's description. No discernment needed.

We are in a serious battle that requires ONLY those led by God's voice. The rest can stay in boot camp until they are trained. And Hebrews 5 & 6 speaks to this.

Even at the local level we are biting and devouring one another. Very dysfunctional and ineffective.

As a leader you are responsible to call out problems. Thank you, and other godly leaders, for courage to speak truth from scripture.
