James 1:25 says "Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of God is this, that you care for the Widows and the fatherless in their distresses"

I used to interpret that to mean I needed to find a non-profit that helped widows and orphans...

I now see that as a clarion call to each of us to know who in our community and within the scope of our reach is a Widow or fatherless ...

What if instead of using our tithe to give to a church or a non-profit ... We Instead used it to go pick up the 2 kids down the road without a daddy ...and take them to an old widows house to do her yardwork ..teach them to use tools while fixing her stuff ...then feed them good and gift them the tools you taught them to use.

This used to be howbthr body of Christ operated but we've largely gotten away from it
Lord show us how to be conduits for the kingdom
