NEW YORK POST: CRITICAL THINKING UNDESIRABLE
A new article in the New York Post explicitly advises readers, verbatim, against using critical thinking. It is dangerous, they say, to look too closely at issues. The idea behind this is that with one-sided research, one narrows one's view and no longer filters misinformation in order to confirm one's own pre-formed world view again and again (self-serving bias). This is correct in principle, but the solution is not to stop critical thinking.
Quite the opposite; more scepticism towards all new information is the key to truth!
But naively scratching the surface is the recommended research method of leftist ideologues so that they can keep sleeping sheep under control.
