TYRANNY IN THE NAME OF SECURITY


GALICIA, FIRST COMMUNITY TO PROVIDE FOR FINES FOR NOT GETTING VACCINATED

The Galician Parliament reforms the Health Law with the sole support of the PP and establishes sanctions that can reach 600,000 euros.


In Spain there has been little controversy about the voluntary nature of the vaccine against Covid. Initially, before the European Union approved the first one, the then Minister of Health, Salvador Illa, assured that compulsory vaccination could be studied if necessary to achieve a wide vaccination coverage. But this possibility was soon discarded. And the growing acceptance seemed to rule out this option: eight out of ten Spaniards are willing to get it as soon as they can. But on Tuesday, Galicia has departed from this script. Its Parliament, with the absolute majority of Alberto Núñez Feijóo's PP, has approved a reform in the regional Health Law that allows penalties of between 1,000 and 600,000 euros to be imposed on people who unjustifiably refuse to be vaccinated against Covid and against possible future viruses.
