WHY DID AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL NOT CRITICISE DAN ANDREWS’ MILITIA FOR USING RUBBER BULLETS AGAINST PROTESTERS ?
Earlier this year Amnesty International set out 25 rules for the use of rubber bullets against protesters - Dan Andrews‘ militia violated almost every one of them.
Including;
They must not be used as means for the dispersal of an assembly
They should only be used against an individual who is engaged in serious violence
They should not be used against people running away
There should be no uncontrolled repeated firing
The weapon should be aimed at lower parts of the body
All Australian police forces should formally adopt these rules to avoid a repeat of the shameful police conduct in Victoria
