You may have read SM Tharman's response to LMW last week, highlighting how the number of Singaporeans in senior roles has nearly doubled in the past 6 years - growing by well over 1200.

But what was less reported is the impact foreign immigration and investment have played in it - because the number of ALL employees, both local and foreign, has also increased in this time.

And since banking in Singapore is dominated by foreign entities it goes to show the benefit of allowing foreigners to work in Singapore and create more jobs - including senior ones - for Singaporeans as well.

After all - if suitable people from abroad could not work in Singapore, why would any senior staff be needed here?

As it is, the more foreigners are coming, the more jobs they create for locals too - including high paying ones.

Win-win!
