Had he not created a solid plan going into this situation, and had he not ensured his wife was on the same page, the outcome might have been very different. This is a tale of caution that underscores how critical it is to be vigilant in certain situations that arise now daily. At the end of the day one might ask; am I my brother’s keeper? But maybe before this question is asked, it would be wise and prudent to ask; who is my keeper? As it stands now if you do not know the answer to the latter question your well-being could fall into the hands of another. Then the question becomes, does another have my best interest at heart? It is the responsibility of the older generation to look out for and guide the younger generation. We adults must set an example of what is right and defend those who are still in their minority, and not yet old enough to fend for themselves. This is true for every generation, and yet we see so many doing what is easy instead of doing what is right. Everyone wants what is best for their family, and so, as it has always been, the grown will light the way for the young and clear the way, where it is possible, of obstructions and falsehood. This younger generation currently being referred to as Generation Z. Such a name implies no generation will follow, but we know this to be wrong. This implied last generation will surely require all the help and guidance it can get, as we come to the end of an era. Here we have a man who answered the call.

Look around this world right now. Are we seeing what happens at the end of every age or era? Does the entire deck get shuffled every 2,160 years – give or take? If this is true it would go a long way toward explaining why our history and culture seems to begin within the last couple thousand years – give or take. Our guest brings us a point of view from a life lived in Morocco and Islam in his younger years – then England and then the US. For me the importance of such a conversation is well represented in an old Mark Twain (we are told) quote: “Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one’s lifetime.” These words convey a critical idea that I accept as correct from personal experience. Every man and woman are truly my brother and sister, and yet, the current climate of this realm is working to destroy such truths in the minds of the many. In closing a quote from TV near the end of our era – “And now for something completely different.”

Most old cultures have fermented foods as staples in their diet. This, of course, can be tied directly to alchemy or natural sciences, from long ago. The Alchemy of the plant kingdom is called Spagyrics, which most directly relates to the fermentation of things that can be ingested. Fermentation is a process used to make some of our favorite foods including cheese, wine, beer, bread, chocolate, soy sauce, miso and yogurt. These foods provide beneficial, living bacteria into our diets. It should go without saying that the cymatic resonance of a living food is different than that of lifeless food. In America nearly all food products have had the “life” cooked out of them by a process called pasteurization. Only now are we getting back to the importance of living foods and drinks, beyond alcoholic beverages – but even some of those have been shown to be beneficial in moderation. Harder alcohols are labelled as containing spirits, another direct link to spagyrics and alchemy. And the word fermented tells us the following: Fer means to Carry, and Ment always means mind. But Life is also “carried” in fermented foods, which for most of us, is beneficial living bacteria, often equated with probiotics.
