It is hosted by International Association for Suicide Prevention (IASP), World Health Organization (WHO) and World Federation for Mental Health (WFMH).
It was first introduced in 2003.

 
4. CBDT sets up 3 Boards for Advance Rulings to tax disputes,
Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has constituted 3 Boards for Advance Rulings (BAR) to ensure faster disposal of cases and avoid income tax disputes .
Out of the three BARs, two have been set up in Delhi and Mumbai.


5. ICRISAT awarded 2021 "Africa Food Prize".
International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT) has been awarded 2021 Africa Food Prize for improved food security across 13 countries in sub-Saharan Africa at Africa Forum for Green Revolution (AGRF)-2021 Summit
ICRISAT: It is a non-profit, non-political public agricultural research for development in Asia and sub-Saharan Africa. ICRISAT led a collaboration of partners to deliver the Tropical Legumes Project between 2007 and 2019.


6. Hyderabad gets India’s first indigenous Coal Gasification based Plant
High ash coal gasification based Methanol Production Plant has been inaugurated at BHEL R&D Centre, Hyderabad.The plant was funded by Department of Science and Technology at the initiative of NITI Aayog, PMO-India and Ministry of Coal.It can create 0.25 ton per day (TPD) Methanol from high ash Indian coal using 1.2 TPD Fluidized bed gasifier.Purity of the crude methanol produced is between 98 and 99.5%.


7. ADB approves ($112 million)loan to improve water supply infrastructure in Jharkhand.
Asian Development Bank (ADB) and Govt of India have signed.
This is the first project of ADB in Jharkhand.
This policy reforms for a sustainable operation, providing safe drinking water to urban households.


8.  'Main Bhi Digital 3.0' launched by MoHUA
Ministry of Housing and urban Affairs (MoHUA) in collaboration with Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology 
It is a special campaign for digital on boarding and training for street vendors under PM SVANidhi scheme across 223 cities in India.
PM SVANidhi was launched in 2020 as a Central Sector Scheme to facilitates working capital loan of up to ₹10,000. Open / Comment

The NIRF report was released by Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The ranking framework of the institutions across the country was done under five broad parameters – teaching, learning and resources (TLR), research and professional practice (RP), graduation outcome (GO), outreach and inclusivity (OI) and perception (PR). Its conducted by every year by UNESCO.
The day was declared by UNESCO on 26 October 1966 during 14th session of UNESCO’s General conference.It was observed for the first time in 1967.
Theme: Literacy for a human-centred recovery: Narrowing the digital divide.


2. PM Modi inaugurates Shikshak Parv-2021,
PM has virtually inaugurated Shikshak Parv-2021. 
Theme: Quality and Sustainable Schools: Learnings from Schools in India.
Shikshak Parv has been organised by Ministry of Education from September 7 to 17, 2021.

4. TRIFED to setup Atmanirbhar Corner in 75 missions around the world,
Across the world in the next 3 months.
First Atma Nirbhar Bharat corner was successfully inaugurated at Indian Embassy in Bangkok, Thailand on Aug 15, 2021.
Aim: It will be an exclusive space to promote GI-tagged tribal art and craft products besides natural organic products.



5. Gujarat govt signs MoU with Amazon India to boost export of MSME sector.
 Business-to-Commerce (B2C) e-commerce at MSME clusters in cities like Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat, Bharuch, RajkotIt will also open up the link with Amazon’s digital market operational in 17 countries like USA, Canada, Brazil.



6. First India-Japan High Level Policy Dialogue held virtually
Both nations agreed to further strengthen the bilateral cooperation on environment, and also to take forward the discussion on JCM.India and Japan may also explore strengthening bilateral cooperation especially on circular economy, green hydrogen, etc.


7. IPPB ties-up with LIC Housing Finance for home loan products
India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) has signed MoU with LIC Housing Finance Ltd for providing home loan products to over 4.5 crore customers of IPPB.Through its robust extensive network of 650 branches and more than 136,000 banking access points.

 

8. Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) has won CII ‘National Energy Leader’ and ‘Excellent Energy Efficient Unit’ awards at National Award ceremony for ‘Excellence in Energy Management’ The ceremony has been organised by  Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) - Green Business Centre (GBC) during 22nd edition of ‘Energy Efficiency Summit’

7. ADB approves $150 million loan for urban poor housing project in Tamil Nadu.
Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved loan of $ 150 million (about Rs 1,095 crore) for a sustainable housing project for the urban poor in Tamil Nadu.
Aim: to provide vulnerable and disadvantaged households access to inclusive, safe, and affordable housing infrastructure and services.

V Ramakrishna Gupta has been appointed as the Director (Finance) of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) by Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC).His tenure will be of 5 years.
