Quand la Bible parle de bénir le Seigneur, comment bénissez-vous le Seigneur? Dans Matthieu 26:26 FMAR, la Bible dit: «Et comme ils mangeaient, Jésus prit le pain, et après qu’il eut béni Dieu, il le rompit…» Comment Jésus a-t-il béni le pain? Matthieu a dit que Jésus a pris du pain et l’a béni; puis Paul reçoit la révélation et nous dit exactement comment Jésus a fait: c’était en rendant grâces! En fait, lorsque nous disons: « Bénissons le Seigneur », cela signifie Lui rendre grâces; vous Le remerciez pour qui Il est, pour ce qu’Il a fait dans votre vie et pour toutes Ses œuvres puissantes.

C’est ce que nous faisons dans l’adoration. La Bible dit: « Par lui, offrons sans cesse à Dieu un sacrifice de louange, c’est-à-dire le fruit de nos lèvres qui confessent son nom» (Hébreux 13:15). Louer c’est rendre grâce. Dans Apocalypse 11:16-17, nous remarquons une offrande d’adoration véritable; ça dit: «Et les vingt-quatre vieillards, qui étaient assis devant Dieu sur leurs trônes, se prosternèrent sur leurs faces, et ils adorèrent Dieu, en disant: Nous te rendons grâces, Seigneur Dieu tout-puissant, qui es, et qui étais, de ce que tu as saisi ta grande puissance et pris possession de ton règne.»  Alléluia!

Vivez chaque jour dans une attitude d’adoration; une attitude d’action de grâces. C’est en le faisant que vous resterez toujours content, car vous savez que peu importe le défi auquel vous êtes confronté, Celui qui est en vous est plus grand que celui qui est dans le monde. When the Bible talks about blessing the Lord, how do you bless the Lord? In Matthew 26:26, the Bible says, “And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it….” How did Jesus bless the bread? The Apostle Paul, by the Spirit, explained it in 1 Corinthians 11:23-24 when he said, “For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread: And when he had given thanks (Greek: eucharisteō), he brake it….”

Matthew said Jesus took bread and blessed it; then Paul gets the revelation and tells us exactly how Jesus did it: it was by giving thanks! In essence, when we say, “Let’s bless the Lord,” it means to give Him thanks; you’re thanking Him for who He is, for what He’s done in your life and for all His mighty works.

This is what we do in worship. The Bible says, “By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name” (Hebrews 13:15). Praise is giving thanks. In Revelation 11:16-17, we observe an offering of true worship; it says, “And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, FELL UPON THEIR FACES, AND WORSHIPPED GOD, SAYING, WE GIVE THEE THANKS, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned.” Hallelujah!

Live each day in an attitude of worship, an attitude of thanksgiving. This is the way to stay happy all the time, because you know that no matter the challenge you face, greater is He that’s in you than He that’s in the world. You always win. Praise God forevermore!

LET’S TALK
To understand righteousness, you must first understand the concept of good and evil, right and wrong. According to the Bible, good and evil, right and wrong can only be judged or decided by the nature of God. This means, to know what’s good or evil, right or wrong, God reveals His nature and will to man. Otherwise, we will never know what to do or what God expects of us.

Righteousness, therefore, is the expression of the will and nature of the Father. He’s the Judge; He decides what’s good or evil, what’s right or wrong, by His very nature. His revelation of Himself, His nature, His character and His will are the collective expression of His righteousness.

Our natural minds can’t comprehend the vastness and immeasurable amplitude of God’s reasoning. If He came to us as complex as He is, we wouldn’t be able to understand anything about Him; so He made it simple by sending Jesus to us, who came as a man so we could understand God. He said, “...He who has seen Me has seen the Father...” (John 14:9) and in John 10:30, He said, “I and My Father are one.” He came to express the will and nature of the Father; He’s described for us in Hebrews 1:3 as the express image of the Father. He was, and still is, the perfect imprint and ultimate icon of God; and we’re like Him (1 John 4:17). Our righteousness, therefore, is the expression of the will and nature of the Father.

Romans 5:17 says, “…much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.” This means we’ve been gifted with the ability, authority and power to articulate, manifest, and express the will and nature of the Father everywhere we go: in every situation, in every event, and in every matter. The title of today’s devotion reminds me of Simon Peter’s story in the Bible. He and his crew had been fishing all night and didn’t catch any fish. When they got back to shore, the Lord Jesus told them to throw their nets back into the sea for a great catch. Though Peter was tired and discouraged, having toiled all-night with nothing to show, he obeyed the word of the Lord. Guess what? They caught so much fish that their nets almost broke (Luke 5:6).

It pays to trust in the Lord; He is trustworthy and He will never let you down.
