Imaam Ibn Taymiyyah رحمه الله said :
It is obligatory for the worshipper of Allah to know that his good deeds it is due to the favour of Allah and His Mercy and from His blessings just like the people of Jannah said
"
الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي هَدَانَا لِهَٰذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لِنَهْتَدِيَ لَوْلَا أَنْ هَدَانَا اللَّهُ
All the praises and thanks be to Allâh, Who has guided us to this, and never could we have found guidance, were it not that Allâh had guided us!"
