The Messenger of Allaah ﷺ asked, 'Where is Allaah?' The follo | DailyIslamicBenefitsCOM

The Messenger of Allaah ﷺ asked, "Where is Allaah?"
The following is proof that the Deobandis, Brailwis who falsely claim that they are Hanafis not only oppose the Quran and the authentic Sunnah but also oppose Imaam Abu Hanifah رحمه الله who is free of them and their batil aqeedah. Infact Imaam Abu Hanifah رحمه الله made Takfeer of the one who denies that Allaah is above His Arsh in a manner that befits His Majesty. This is the core belief of Ahlus Sunnah, this is the question that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ tested with in order to verify one being a Believer, this is the belief the Salaf-us-Salih united upon. It was the deviant sect of the early Jahmiyyah who were the first to deny the attribute of Allaah being the Most High(علو)
Imaam Al-Allaamah Ibn Qudamah Al-Maqdisee رحمه الله (541-620 H) wrote :
And He ﷺ said to the Slave girl "Where is Allaah"? She said Above the heavens. He ﷺ said, " free her for indeed she is a Believer".Narrated by Maalik bin Anas, Muslim and others from the Imaams. (Ahmad, Muslim, Abu Dawud, Maalik)
Al-Allaamah Salah Al-Fawzaan حفظه الله explains:
This hadith is in the Saheeh, and it is that Muawiyyah bin Al-Hakmi As-Sulamee (may Allaah be pleased with him) used to own a slave girl and he became angry towards her and slapped her on her face. Thereafter he (may Allaah be pleased with him) regretted it and he came to the Prophet ﷺ and asked him regarding freeing her. Because he intended to free her as a means of expiation of what had occurred due to him. So the Prophet ﷺ said to her "Where is Allaah"? She said "Above the heavens" He ﷺ said '"Who am I"? She said "You are the Messenger of Allaah" He ﷺ said, "Free her as indeed she is a Believer". The Messenger of Allaah ﷺ testified for her that [she possess] Emaan when she said Indeed Allaah is above the Heavens and indeed Mohammed is the Messenger of Allaah, and he approved her speech. He attributed to her emaan when she attributed that indeed her Lord is above the heavens. This is similar to what came in the Ayah:
 أَأَمِنتُم مَّن فِي السَّمَاءِ
Do you feel secure that He, Who is over the heaven (Allah)
In the hadeeth, there is proof of the permissibilty to ask the question where is Allaah, that is to say, Where is Allaah? And this is 'heavy as it gets' for the Al-muatilah ( those who reject the correct meaning of the sifaat of Allaah, such as the asharis, mutazilah,Jahmiyya, philosophers and the matureedis) as with them you never say 'Where is Allaah'. That is because with them Allaah is not in a place, and the one who is not in a place then you don't say: where is he?
So this hadeeth is a stab [with a sharp instrument] in their eyes, and it is the most severe hadith upon them, and from them, they are those who say "Where" means "Who" so, therefore, meaning of 'Where is Allaah' is 'Who is Allaah'. SubhaanAllaah ! Is it mentioned in the language of the Arabs or in the language of the non-Arabs that "where" means "who"? However, these liars do not refrain from lying.
So the Hadith is crystal clear just like the Ayah, so it proves that the one who negates[ the fact] that indeed Allaah is above the heavens is not a Believer. And that the one who negates the attribute of Allaah being the Most High [above his Arsh] then is not a believer. We ask Allaah for the well-being.End of Quote.شرح لعمة الإعتقاد للشيخ صالح الفوزان
Imaam Abu Hanifah رضي الله عنه (Hijri150) has indeed confirmed the attribute of "علو" (Allaah being the Most High) of Allaah, the Most High with the intellect, the fitrah ( natural disposition of man to know his Creator), narrations and used the hadith of the slave girl as proof, and he made takfeer (declared one to be a Kafir) of the one who denied the attribute of "علو" for Allaah the Most High, rather made takfeer of the one who had any doubt regarding it.
