In China, a rare rainbow cloud was caught on video
Such clouds are called "pileus" (pileus) — they are formed as a result of cooling and condensation of moist air. When sunlight is directed at right angles, it is refracted between drops and ice crystals in the cloud, creating a "curved" rainbow.
