The most distant galaxy on record has been spotted by an international team of astronomers. Its called HD1 and its some 13.5 billion light-years away. It dates from around 300 million years after the Big Bang. HD1 may be forming more than 100 stars every single year. This is at least 10 times higher than other starburst galaxies like M82. Astronomers hope to obtain more clarity using the James Webb Space Telescope when it becomes fully operational. Dark Space 1.0K views13:00
