In my 11th grade Society and Culture assignment, I'm doing a PIP (Personal Intrest Piece). For my PIP I've decided to do mine on Juedo-Christan values in the west and the effect of atheism on society. As part of the research methodologies, I'm doing a questionnaire, pretty much a survey for the topic. So I thought posting it here would be a good idea as I guess a lot of you are passionate about the matter and may be interested. I would love to hear some of your guy's opinions and get some great data for my assignment. Somone of the questions may be complicated and confronting but please try your best and answer truthfully.

2022-05-30 16:14:58 What's the best way to filter the USDA food database by processing amount?

I'm doing a project on the nutrient difference between minimally processed plant and animal foods, i downloaded the whole usda dataset but there's not a single file with processing amount tag, what's the best way to go about this?

i can use chemicals that are commonly added.. but some of them are naturally found in foods, i can go through manually and remove rows with certain keywords (with added, flavored, mcdonald, etc..) but that is manually and it will never be completely accurate unless i somehow go through all the 1.7m entries.

any advice on how i can tackle this issue?

2022-05-30 14:14:52 Researchers From Imperial College London introduce TsT-GAN: A Novel Framework For Training Time-Series Generative Models

Nowadays, data is considered a fuel in the data analytics field. The real-time applications require time series data for analysis and future prediction. But all these applications usually lack the necessary, sufficient data for analysis. Hence, various data augmentation techniques need to be adopted. Researchers from Imperial College London introduce a framework called TsT-GAN, based on generative adversarial networks (GAN), that are utilized to augment the time-series data. It aims to fulfill the various objectives like capturing the steps of the conditional distribution of real-time sequences and creating a model that joins the distribution of all the real-time sequences.

The paper’s significant contribution is to develop the model consisting of a generator that can produce entire joint distributions considering the distribution conditions. The training framework can be applied to any time series dataset that quantitively results in a standard method that can be trained on the synthetic test on a realistic approach while qualitatively using t-SNE.

Percent of electricity that state generates from “green” sources across the US and the EU. “Green” sources include hydro, solar, wind, geothermal, biomass, and nuclear. These are so-called low emission sources. 2020 data. [OC]
