English: Korean Yang Gyeongjong is known for being a soldier of three armies. During the Second World War, he was drafted into the Imperial Japanese Armed Forces. He was captured by the Red Army. In 1942, together with thousands of other prisoners, he was transferred to the front – "to bathe in blood". He fought for the Soviet Union. In the summer of 1943, he was captured by the Germans near Kharkov. In captivity, having proved that he fought for Japan, he was released and continued his service. He fought for Germany in Normandy. He was captured by the Americans.
Then he lived in the States. He raised two sons and a daughter without telling them a word about his military service.
