If you commit sins and keep committing sins all your life, on the Day of Judgment you will go to Hell, whereas if you obey the command of Allāh and His prohibitions in your life, your reward will be Paradise; We are here to follow and obey the laws of Allah laid down in the Qur'an and practice the Sunnah of Rasulullah ﷺ, we should not just act according to our whims and desires. Every atom of our good deed as well as every atom of our sins/bad deeds will be placed on the scales of justice on the day of Judegement and if the sins are higher we go to hell and if our deeds are heavier Paradise is our reward. Like a farmer, we reap/harvest the fruits of what we have planted.
It also reminds us to be careful about our behavior in this world and how we represent Islam. We are examples, so we should do good deeds. If we do good deeds, people will like us and respect us and In Sha Allah not feel fearful but instead actually like Islam. If we do bad deeds, it gives people reasons to dislike Islam. Let us think about how Rasulullah ﷺ reacted to situations. If we react calmly, flowers (happiness, calm) will grow but if we react negatively, thorns (anger, hatred) will grow and grow and grow as weeds do.
May we do deeds that pleases Allāh, avoid all the sins and may we all enter Jannat-ul-Firdouse without any reckoning. Ameen.
