Kmedia reports the 3 biggest multiplex companies (CGV, Lotte, Megabox) reported that all 36,000 tickets for BTS PTD live-viewing have sold out. CGV sold out 25k in 39 theaters nationwide; Lotte Cinema sold out 7k in 32 theaters; Megabox sold out 4k in 21 theaters.
CGV plans on adding 5k more tickets in 5 theaters. All of the tickets were sold out in less than an hour. CGV reported that metro Seoul sold out in 15 min, in other areas sold out in 20-30 min. Lotte Cinema reported that all BTS live-viewing sold out in 10 min.
The World Tower location’s 600 seats sold out in 5 min. It’s the closest to Jamsil Olympic and is one of the pairing theaters. Megabox also reported that all tickets were quickly sold out. cost ₩49k each; ticket sale revenue is expected to be ₩1.76B ($1.462M).
