Speech of the leader of Poland's nationalist party with English subtitles.
Robert Winnicki delivered this speech in Warsaw during the National Movement Congress last Saturday. In Polish the party is called Ruch Narodowy, it is the nationalist wing of the Konfederacja party. The slogan of the congress was "Poland first, Poles first".
Winnicki describes how Ruch Narodowy wants a Poland that is strong, sovereign, and a nation state where the Poles are the hosts. He talks about the importance of identity, historical memory, and heroic ethos. "Identity is key". He states that the interests of Ukraine are not necessarily the interests of Poland.
Winnicki explains that the older generation, currently in power, was raised under communism and does not know how rule Poland as a stand alone state so they seek utopian but flawed federation projects.
He talks about cultural experiments and proposes a solution for those confused about their gender. He concludes with an explanation of Ruch Narodowy's economic policy
