The End Times just hit a pretty big milestone. After about a year and a half, it's reached
20 thousand subscribers. I'm delighted, but also worried. For you. Let me explain.
I have 4 channels on Telegram, you've probably seen me promote the other three here.
The first channel I created was @TradPics, dedicated to beautiful Western architecture. Thought it'd be nice to have a place that compiles beautiful pictures of the best we've got to offer in Europe and North America. The channel currently has 6.7k followers but barely any growth at all.
Then came the @PepeLib, where I compile as many memes of the autistic frogs born out of the alt-right during Trump's run in 2016: Pepe, Apu, Groyper,... and most recently, Peepo. I love the meme, and find Apu both awe inspiring and relatable. The @ is based on how you may commonly name library variables in programing: PepeLib, a library of Pepes. The channel currently has an impressive 10.7k frens.
As an offshoot of TradPics came @BeVirtuous, my wholesome channel, similar to TradPics but not focused on architecture, rather wholesome news, stories, pictures, memes. Things that can brighten your day and give you hope. Currently boasts 8.6k subscribers. It's the hardest channel for which to source material, many days I can't even find anything to post, or just find corny, silly things to share.
But then there's The End Times. If the other three are 'decent' channels, this one is the black sheep. The @ comes from the Spanish word
demacre, which means the exact opposite of wholesome. Degeneracy, depravity, blackpill, decay, globohomo, progressive, woke... all are
demacre. I created it as a freakshow of what is going on, like having to look when you drive by a car crash; and also, hoping it would help redpill people. I have no problem sourcing material several times a day. The content on here is horrible, the worst of our current world. News of how things are getting worse, our civilization crumbling, our race being wiped out, our history erased, our future snuffed out. And yet here you are, 20k of you. Not even the combined followers of TradPics and BeVirtuous add up to that. It's sad that I can get 20k followers in a channel of the worst of the worst, but channels that try to show tiny glittering specks of hope struggle both to find content, and grow in subscribers.
I'm not asking you to go follow the other channels, don't worry. I'm just reflecting on how things are. I hope you don't surround yourself with too much
demacre, and look for the decent stuff that makes life worthwhile. It's hard, I know. So much easier to turn on the TV or open Twitter and let the filth stream in, non-stop, 24/7. But for your own sake, fight the end times and make frens with which to build a world that would appear in TradPics and BeVirtuous.
