People, with Jewish ancestry or any non-white ancestry who served in the 3rd Reich, were called "Mischling and translation into English would be "Mestizo". About 150,000 Mischlings served in Germany.

"The Mischling Test" was a legal test under Germany NS Nuremberg Law, which was applied to determine whether a person was considered a "Jew" or a "Mischling" (mixed blood).

The test:

The first part of the test is implemented by configuring three categories as follows:

• A person with three or four Jewish grandparents is considered "Jewish".

• A person with exactly two Jewish grandparents is considered a first-degree "Jew" or a "Mischling" (discussed below, second part of the test)

• A person with only one Jewish grandparent is considered a second-degree Mischling.
