NEW - Biden admin's new "no boots on the ground" battle plan for Afghanistan, as confirmed by U.S. officials:
"US military deploying AC-130 gunships, MQ-9 Reaper drones as well as B-52 bombers & F18s to strike Taliban and boost Afghanistan security forces. AC-130s & MQ-9s carrying out the majority of the strikes."
Pentagon said on Monday that the security situation in Afghanistan was "not going in the right direction" as Taliban captured a sixth provincial Afghan capital.
