So how I remember it going is that Mom was on a road trip with a friend so close she considered them a sister, this is a woman I came to consider an aunt as well. I cannot remember where they started or where they were going, but I remember that this happened while they were in New Mexico.

Mom was driving at the time and they were passing an entrance I think where, by my mom's perspective, a semi is rushing up on her and needing to merge. Definitely this thing came up on her kind of all of a sudden.

So she does the appropriate thing and figures out how to get out of it's way. But something about it feels really weird to her and unsettles her so she ends up putting the hazards on and pulling into the shoulder for a bit to gather herself.

While they're parked she turns to the friend with her and asks "did you see that?"

Her friend responds "No, I was wondering what you were doing"
