Microwave sickness. When exposed to microwave radiation for so long, you may experience "microwave sickness." Symptoms include vision problems, impaired cognition, swelling of the lymph nodes, and weakening the immune system.

Radiation leakage. This usually occurs in older models of the heating machine. The wear and tear of a microwave door can cause the microwaves to escape and spread throughout your kitchen. This poses serious health risks such as heart disease and a compromised immune system.

Adversely affects the heart. Normal level of radiation in the microwave is 2.4 GHz. This frequency can cause irregular heartbeat, as well as the pressure in the chest.
