Statement by the official representative of the DPR People’s Militia on the situation on April 19, 2022
Since the beginning of the day, the enemy has fired more than 100 shells and mines from 122-mm multiple launch rocket systems BM-21 "Grad", 122-mm cannon artillery and 120-mm mortars.
The areas of 5 settlements of the Republic were under shelling. As a result of the Ukrainian aggression, 4 civilians were injured. 2 residential buildings and 1 civilian infrastructure facility were damaged.
Materials on the fact of wounding civilians and damage to infrastructure will be transferred to representatives of international human rights organizations, as well as to the DPR General Prosecutor's Office for inclusion in criminal cases initiated against the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The servicemen of the Donetsk People's Republic, together with the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, continue to liberate the settlements of our Republic from Ukrainian invaders.
Since the beginning of the day, our servicemen have destroyed 27 Ukrainian nationalists, 2 armored personnel carrier and 3 firing positions of 122-mm D-30 artillery howitzers and 1 cargo vehicle. 1 armored personnel carrier and 2 cargo vehicles were captured.
Unfortunately, there were losses among our fighters. Over the past day, in the struggle for independence, 2 defenders of the Donetsk People's Republic died in the line of military duty and 17 comrades were injured.
We express our sincere condolences to the families and friends of the victims.
I would like to appeal to Western media employees who call themselves journalists:
Why are you embarrassed to talk to your audience about war crimes of Azov fighters? About their use of civilians as a "human shield"?
Why don't you say that they place firing points in houses and courtyards of residential areas?
Why are you trying to justify the zigging Azov and Right Sector fighters who shout racist slogans and call for torture, mutilation and execution of Russian prisoners?
Why the appeals of officials to murder Russian children are not considered by you as genocide?
Why does your enlightened Western world not notice Eichmann's portraits on Ukrainian TV screens, Nazi symbols on the uniforms and flags of Ukrainian units?
Being in the West you apparently have forgotten about Nazis crimes. However, we remember the evil that the Nazi ideology brought.
And I promise that we will do everything to ensure that Nazism is destroyed and will never raise again.
