​ Statement by the official representative of the DPR People’s Militia on the situation on May 1, 2022

Since the beginning of the day, the enemy has fired more than 100 shells and mines from 122-mm multiple launch rocket systems BM-21 "Grad",122-mm cannon artillery and 120-mm mortars.

The areas of 6 settlements of the Republic were under shelling. As a result of the Ukrainian aggression, 1 civilian was killed and 2 were injured. 22 residential building and 10 civilian infrastructure facility and a vehicle were damaged.

Materials on the fact of wounding civilians and damage to infrastructure will be transferred to the DPR General Prosecutor's Office for inclusion in criminal cases initiated against the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Since the beginning of the day, our servicemen have destroyed 21 Ukrainian nationalists and 2 IFV. A tank and an armored personal vehicle were captured.

Unfortunately, there were losses among our fighters. Over the past day, in the struggle for independence, 4 defenders of the Donetsk People's Republic died in the line of military duty and 12 comrades were injured.
