Natalia Nikonorova congratulated Alan Gagloev on assuming the post of President of South Ossetia
Today, on May 24, the inauguration ceremony of the President of the Republic of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev took place.
The ceremony was attended by Igor Maslov, Chief of the Presidential Directorate for Interregional Relations and Cultural Contacts with Foreign Countries, Dmitry Volvach, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, Senator Farit Mukhametshin, Kazbek Taysaev, Deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Sergei Menyailo, Head of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, Natalia Nikonorova, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Donetsk People's Republic, Vladislav Deinego, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Lugansk People's Republic, Vladimir Bidevka, Chairman of the People's Council of the Donetsk People's Republic, Badra Gunba, Vice President of the Republic of Abkhazia, David Babayan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic, Alba Azucena Torres, Ambassador of the Republic of Nicaragua to the Russian Federation, Leonid Manakov, Head of the Representative Office of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic in Moscow, and other guests.
After taking the oath on the Constitution Alan Gagloev addressed the South Ossetia’s people with his first speech as President:
"I swear, when exercising the powers of the President of the Republic of South Ossetia, to respect and protect the rights and freedoms of man and citizen, to observe and protect the Constitution of the Republic of South Ossetia, to protect the sovereignty and independence, security and territorial integrity of the Republic of South Ossetia, to faithfully serve the people."
In turn, the delegates from friendly states congratulated Alan Gagloev on his assumption of the high office. Thus, the DPR Minister of Foreign Affairs Natalia Nikonorova read out a greeting address from the DPR Head. A part of the message:
"Our Republics are connected not only by relations of friendship and partnership, but also by truly fraternal ties. There are always ways and opportunities to strengthen cooperation, therefore I am sure that we will take full advantage of them. The people of the Republic of South Ossetia were one of the first to respond when Ukraine came to our land with a war, and is providing tremendous assistance now, during the liberation operation in Donbass."
Also the delegations’ heads from the Russian Federation, the Lugansk People's Republic, the Republic of Abkhazia, the Republic of Nicaragua, the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic and the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic addressed Alan Gagloev with congratulations.
