Corruption perception Index (CPI) – 2020, has slipped from 80 to 86, even as its score has decreased only slightly by one point from 41 in 2019, to now stand at 40.
The index released annually by Transparency International, which is a global civil society, ranks 180 countries by their perceived levels of public sector corruption according to experts and business people. It uses a scale of zero to 100, where zero signifies the highest level of corruption and 100 is very clean
