As God’s child, you’ve got to be bold and take charge of your school, neighbourhood, family, and nation through your faith-filled words. God has given us the authority over the enemy (Luke 10:19), and we’ve got to keep him under our feet; that’s where he belongs.

Refuse to let the enemy have his way in your home, school, or country. Declare words of faith and use the Name of Jesus to establish your authority as God’s child wherever you are. Hallelujah!

When baking bread, a lot of ingredients go into it; some ingredients are so important that without them, the bread can’t be baked. One of such ingredients is flour. In the same way, success has ingredients too. One of the most important ingredients for a life of success is ‘instructions’!

Following instructions, no matter how simple they may seem, is very important. Joshua followed the instructions from the Lord and through them, he won a great victory in Jericho (Joshua 6:3,20).

Learn to listen to and follow instructions, especially from God’s Word; it’s the ingredient for your success!

Derek’s teacher had specially selected him as the class leader and given him the important task of helping the class get settled for lessons. This was a special assignment because out of the whole class, the teacher trusted Derek with it.

God has given you a sacred task too; it’s the task of winning souls! He wants you to preach the Gospel to your neighbours, friends, family, and everyone around you. It’s a sacred task, and God entrusted it to you to carry it out.

What You Need to Know About Prayer: Part 1

2022 is an incredibly special year, and that means the “Titbits” in the editions of the devotional this year are special too! This month, we will be learning about Prayer; what it means, its importance, its impact and how to pray effectively. So, get ready to learn something new and inspiring.

1. God Loves To Hear Your Prayers: God asked us to pray because He loves to hear and answer our prayers. Isn’t it great? He said, “He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him…” (Psalm 91:15). That’s the joy of prayer.

2. God is Your Father: God wants to have a Father-child relationship with you. But you must be born again to have such relationship. How? By receiving Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour (Romans 10:9-10).

3. What Is Prayer? Prayer isn’t just getting God to do things for you; rather, it is fellowship with the Lord. Fellowship is a friendly relationship among people. You develop a special relationship with the Lord in prayer. That means you’re not the only one talking; He also talks to you, and you listen to Him.

4. Don’t Recite; Pray From Your Heart: To recite prayers is to say prayers you have memorized, either from a book or a person. To have a rich fellowship with the Lord, you’ve got to pray from your heart. To pray from your heart means you’re focused, and not distracted; thinking about ice cream, TV, video games or looking around. If you keep your eyes closed, you’ll hear God easily, and receive answers too.

5. Prayers Produce Results: The Bible says that divine power is released whenever we pray from the heart (James 5:16). That power brings to pass whatever you’ve asked for; this prayer produces results. This makes times of prayer joyful and exciting (John 16:24).

I always receive answers when I pray. This is why I’m very successful in anything I do. You can have this experience too if you take to heart what you’ve learnt in this study. Open / Comment

In your maths class, the teacher would give you certain formulas to solve questions. As long as you use that formula, you’ll always get the right answer. In the same way, God has given us a formula to make changes. It’s what the Lord Jesus said in today’s memory verse!

What would you like to change in your life, health, school, neighbourhood, family or even country? You can change it through this special kind of prayer.

You can get another believer right now and agree with them for a change in any area of your life and it’ll be done. Hallelujah!

Your salvation is a precious gift from God. It’s more precious than all the lovely and beautiful gifts in this world. It’s not the kind of gift you buy in the market, and there’s nothing in the world that can be compared to it. It’s a gift given to all who receive the Lord Jesus as their Lord and Saviour

Your salvation brought you eternal life, righteousness and all the blessings of the Lord. That’s why sickness, disease and sin can’t live in you anymore!

You can lift your hands where you are right now and thank the Lord for this wonderful gift.

Have you ever faced a situation that seemed very difficult? At such times, you don’t need to get scared or worried at all. Remember Ezekiel’s story? He was in a valley of dry bones. Those bones are similar to a hopeless situation. God told him to prophesy to the bones, and a miracle took place (Ezekiel 37:7).

He’s saying the same to you today; rather than fret, speak to the situation to cause a change. Declare you’re a victor and a success, then pick up your books and study. This is how to face any situation and win.

Imagine being so thirsty and your mum offered you a cool drink, I’m sure that would have made your day.

When you thirst for God, it means you’re longing for Him. A thirsty animal will go miles to find a source of water. In the same way, you should go all out for God and His Word. Study and meditate on the Word daily. You should, “…more than anything else, put God’s work first and do what he wants...” (Matthew 6:33 CEV).

When you receive the Holy Spirit, one of the things He does is that He teaches you all things. The Bible calls Him the Spirit of Truth (John 16:13), and everyone that was ever His student became great.

He’s your teacher and you can turn to Him for any answers you need. He knows all things; He is called the Spirit of truth (John 14:17). All you need to do is fellowship with Him as you speak in other tongues. As you do, the solution to that problem will come.
