Namaste all We are very happy to inform you about the next Fire ceremony or Homa for Liberation of Ancestors on the Occasion of Mahalaya Paksham .
MAHALAYA PAKSHAM is the sacred Fortnight of Ancestors . Its the sacred fortnight which comes during a Waning Phase of the Moon in the Lunar month of Badrapadam .
According to ancient Indian tradition, the departed souls of several generations of ancestors reside in the Pitru Loka or the Realm of Ancestors and suitable rites or ceremonies need to be performed for their Journey towards Divine . If the rituals are not performed properly or they are neglected , it leads to disharmony in their lineage which manifests as problems . Mahalaya Paksham is the period in a year where suitable energies are available to connect to the ancestral realm to help one’s 7 immediate generations of ancestors and pray for their liberation. We are going to perform a very special homa called Pitru shanti homa in which you can pray for the liberation of all the departed souls in your Family . This homa is perfomed by Ekam Dasas .
