| According to Florian Plettenberg (skysport), United and Borussia Dortmund are actively working on a loan deal for Jadon Sancho. Plettenberg says the player is eager to return to Dortmund. After a long period in exile, it seems clear that Sancho does not have a future at United.

| This is absolutely fine by me. There cannot be a way back for Sancho. If he really wanted to have a future at United, he would have apologised to Erik ten Hag a long while ago, rather than failing to come to terms with the manager’s justifiable disciplinarian streak. There have been known attitude issues at previous clubs, and calling your manager a liar in a public statement is nothing but unacceptable.

| There have been some theories that Sancho may be holding out for Ten Hag to be sacked. I am not saying that is true. But if it was the case, any new manager should make it a priority to move Sancho on anyway. You cannot have a player onboard who has tried to outlast a manager that they have publicly disrespected. Recent comments about lateness from Nemanja Matic show attitude problems are no myth.

| This has been a disastrous signing and an inquest is needed to find out what went so wrong. Sancho never managed to find his level despite reasonable playing time, and it seemed he never managed to settle back into English football.
