Improve your general listening skills

- Use podcasts, especially ones related to academic topics Staff You Should Know.
- It’s great to use audio that has a script like "Ted Talks".

Improve your vocabulary

- While you are listening, keep a list of expressions and words that you don’t know.

Predict the situation and vocabulary

- You will have time to think before the listening passage begins.
- Try to think of topics and expressions you will hear.

Stay focused

- Don’t focus on what you don’t understand
- Have a guess and move on.

Read the question carefully

- Try not to make spelling mistakes with words such as places, names.
