Centre asks states to impose night curfew:
The Centre has asked states to impose night curfew and strictly regulate large gatherings amid a surge in cases of the Omicron coronavirus variant in different parts of country. The move comes a day after WTO warned the increased social mixing over the holiday period in many countries would lead to a spike in cases, overwhelm health systems and result in more deaths.

*Virus shadow again looms over airlines, travel sectors*
The emergence of the highly contagious Omicron variant of the Coronavirus has thrown a spanner in the world for Indias civil aviation and travel sectors, which were starting to rebound from 2 deadly waves of pandemic. The rapid spread of Omicron has led the government to roll back a planned resumption of scheduled international flights from 15 December. A fresh date has not been announced.

Allied Blenders & Distillers is considering an IPO that could raise as much as $300 Mn next year. The maker of Officers Choice Whiskey has initiated talks with advisors and is seeking a valuation of $2.5 Bn. It is planning to file papers as soon as the first quarter of 2022.
