Something isn't adding up here...
Also noteworthy is that Dugin describes the Russian identity as being based on an idea -- literally civic nationalism.
Ironically, "Dugin is a fringe figure at home" is a state media talking point in this particular piece. It's almost as though everyone who downplayed his relevance up until now was merely repeating a line that was fed to them by the Russian government...
