The View co-host Joy Behar was not on the show’s panel on the day that Republican Sen. Tim Scott of South Carolina, a presidential candidate, was scheduled to appear. Co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Sara Haines, Ana Navarro, Sunni Hostin and Alyssa Farah Griffin walked out at the start of the show Monday. Behar lectured Scott and Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, both prominent black conservatives, about racism on the May 23 airing of the View drawing criticism from Republican Rep. Byron Donalds of Florida.
