Why Do Indian Bride Enters With A Glass Of Milk On The First Night?
There can be a variety of answers to this question, depending on whom you ask. Like for some milk symbolises the wealth and good fortune a bride brings with her. For some, it can be a great way of getting nutrients after a long tiring day.
For some milk mixed with turmeric can be a good way of minimising bad breath so that it doesn't affect the bride and groom's first night. For some it symbolises a bride taking milk into the bedroom and coming out of it as a milk feeding mother(not kidding someone literally said that).For some offering milk can simply break the ice, it can be a way of starting a conversation. For some sharing, a glass of milk(one half by husband and one half by wife) represents that they are the better half of each other and will share all their joys and sorrows together.
