WHY do we get goosebumps
Everybody probably knows this feeling
Well, it's a feature we inherited from our primate ancestors: remember how their fur rises.
It's caused by the contraction of the muscles that lift the hair.
Humans, as well, have preserved them, though we cannot raise the "hair up" any more.
Such residual, "unnecessary" mechanisms or even organs are called rudiments
