WHY Can’t You Photocopy Currency Notes

As a child, this question bothered me more than once . If money was just made of pieces of paper, why couldn’t you simply make copies of it?

All modern copier-printers have detection mechanisms built into their firmware that look out for the Eurion constellation whenever the user tries to print something. As soon as the system detects the distinct pattern, it distorts the output by putting horizontal white lines all across the printed page, in turn, rendering the entire page useless. In some cases, the printer would change the print scale to either too small or too large for the note to look realistic.
