I travel back and forth to Amarillo from Colorado. I would frequent the nearby IHOP near the the hotel where I was put up. One evening I went for dinner and two homeless men were in the entry way sitting. I saw them and was immediately seated by the staff due to the late hour and slow business. After being seated it was on my heart those two men. So I went back to the front and I asked if they would like to join me for dinner. They accepted and joined me at my table. After the food arrived one of the gentlemen proceeded to pray. And quite loudly and lengthy too. I was a little embarrassed at first because of the attention amongst the sparse customers. After we began to eat. A waitress, not mine, came up and said she had never witnessed anything like that before. The whole experience had a very surreal feeling about it. Later the verse, “Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.” whether that was the case I cannot say. I'll never forget it though.
